Fall Lecture

On Monday, November 25 at 5:15 p.m., Gen. H.R. McMaster will offer his talk “Why This Soldier Goes to Mass” to the St. Patrick’s Seminary community. You’re invited to join us.

H.R. McMaster is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general who served as U.S. national security adviser in 2017–18. He holds a Ph.D. in military history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was an assistant professor of history at the U.S. Military Academy. Gen. McMaster is the Fouad and Michelle Ajami Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University and hosts the podcast Battlegrounds: Vital Perspectives on Today’s Challenges. His most recent book, At War with Ourselves: My Tour of Duty in the Trump White House was published in August 2024.
